Who
are we?! We have paid staff, students and volunteers.
Our staff teams at different points in time vary from
former drug users, ex offenders, social workers, youth
worker all employed under the charity's confidentiality
code. All staff (paid or unpaid) are here not to judge
you by your drug use or the consequences, they are here
to support and advise you. We won't make decisions for
you!
Our premises are discreetly located in Wythenshawe Civic
Centre - the entrance is a communal entrance - so no-one
knows where you are going! You can ask us questions by
e-mail, ring us or visit us.
We advise on the potential physical and psychological
related problems associated with drug misuse, how to safely
reduce and/or stop. How to reduce the harm associated
with your drug use, where to access help for problems
associated with your substance misuse, how to access other
relevant services e.g. housing, sexual health clinics
etc. Plus how to cope with a drug free and crime free
lifestyle - help you make the changes to make your future
enjoyable and rewarding… It can be done!
We also work in partnership on strategic issues affecting
our community by participating in various forums looking
at regeneration, healthier communities and within the
framework of Manchester's Community Safety Strategy and
Manchester Drug & Alcohol Teams' annual plan. |
